Timeline Proposal

I will be examining the SRU Ultimate Frisbee team and how far they have come since their inception. I have been a member of this team since its second year, and over the course of my college career, I have seen this team grow tremendously. I am now the recruitment/retention chair as well as the social media chair and this club has benefitted me in more ways than can be explained.

It may seem like creating a college club is easy, but there is a lot of hard work that goes into maintaining a successful club on-campus. Through our founders Matt Rechenberg and Luke Pederson, the goal of laying a solid foundation for years to come was accomplished as the SRU Ultimate Frisbee team became the fastest growing club sport on-campus with membership increasing significantly each year.

My timeline will examine how this team came about, from the idea into actually planning and executing it. As well as the various areas of growth this team has seen. I will incorporate results from different tournaments, as well as some personalized testimonials to add important context to this timeline and how decisions were made.

This timeline is newsworthy due to its proximity, timeliness as spring sports are just around the corner, and significance as this club impacts members of the slippery rock community in such positive ways. Many of my closest friends I met through this club and it is something that holds a place of significance through many of my peers in this community.
